Honduras coach Reynaldo Rueda has announced his 23-man squad for the 2010 World Cup. Rueda called up most of the usual suspects, but also made room for one surprise. Not many would have expected Kansas City Wizards' Roger Espinoza to make the final squad, but Rueda has decided to take the midfielder to South Africa.
Kevin Hernandez, Mariano Acevedo, Jerry Palacios, Johnny Leveron and Carlos Costly have been named as reserves. The latter has been a regular for Honduras during the qualifying campaign, but is being plagued by injury.
Los Catrachos are grouped with Spain, Switzerland and Chile in the opening round of this summer's tournament. They will open the World Cup with a match against Chile on June 16.
