Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz has announced the final list of 23 players for this summers World Cup. Queiroz had earlier named a 24 man provisional squad and had to exclude one player from that list.

Ze Castro is the player that has been excluded from the final squad. Portuguese football association have issued a statement “The national team coach Carlos Queiroz wants to thank Ze Castro for his professionalism and commitment during the training camp.”

Portugal, who have been draw in Group G along with the Ivory Coast, Brazil and North Korea, will kick off their World Cup campaign against the Elephants on June 15th at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

Goalkeepers: Eduardo (Braga), Beto (Porto), Daniel Fernandes (Iraklis)

Defenders: Duda (Malaga), Bruno Alves (Porto), Paulo Ferreira (Chelsea), Miguel (Valencia), Ricardo Carvalho (Chelsea), Rolando (Porto), Fabio Coentrao (Benfica), Pepe (Real Madrid), Ricardo Costa (Lille)
